Working at Dexory

Meet the Dexory Team: Steph, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager

Introduction

I am the internal Senior Talent Acquisition Manager and have been with the company for just under a year now. My team and I are responsible for overseeing the recruitment and hiring process at Dexory. We cover everything from talent attraction, screening, collaborating with hiring managers, and ensuring a smooth candidate experience & onboarding.

What key skills do you need to perform well as a Talent Acquisition Manager?

For my role, it’s necessary to have some strong communication and organisational skills.

Effective communication is essential: not only am I talking to people outside of the company but also to everyone within. I am in constant communication with internal people to understand what kind of person they need for their team and what skills they require. Then, I have to clearly convey these requirements, as well as Dexory’s message, values, mission and opportunities back to talents.

My goal is to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill sets to determine the fit for our current and future opportunities. Simultaneously, it is important to keep track of everything we are doing, and ensure all processes are as seamless as possible.

What would you say makes Dexory unique ?

Every single person in the company contributes so much to the work of the wider teams. We are blessed to have people from such varied backgrounds that it's so easy to learn new things from.

The leadership team is very hands-on and involved in all aspects of R&D, Sales, Marketing and the general running of the company, and in general, everybody in the team is so willing to help each other. Being part of this environment is truly rewarding.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to join the team ?

Embed yourself as much as possible. All roles here work together at some point; we are all here to help and learn from each other. To gain maximum benefit from all of this, it is a good idea to pitch in as much as you can.

If your job had a theme song, what would it be and why?

Roll With It from Oasis! First of all, it's a great song. And as we navigate constant change and evolution while scaling up, this song serves as a reminder that we can successfully embrace any challenge that comes our way
