NFI embraces real-time visibility coupled with autonomous technology to drive innovation across its operations
August 12, 2025

Introduction
NFI, one of North America's leading supply chain solutions providers, partnered with Dexory to introduce a real-time, autonomous inventory management system across one of its major warehouse facilities managing over 99,000 pallet locations. As part of its broader digital transformation roadmap, NFI sought to enrich visibility, streamline processes and empower teams with actionable data - without disruption to daily operations.

The challenge
To stay ahead in an increasingly data-driven logistics landscape, NFI identified a strategic opportunity to digitise key elements of its inventory control process. The team needed to support warehouse staff with instant, accurate inventory data, simplify day-to-day processes such as put-away, replenishment and auditing, and free up teams for more value-added tasks - all while maintaining high performance standards across a facility of significant scale and complexity.
The solution
NFI deployed DexoryView, combining autonomous robotics with a powerful analytics platform to enable daily, high-speed scans of thousands of pallet locations across the site. The solution integrates seamlessly with NFI's existing WMS, with visual dashboards surfacing trends, discrepancies and available space in real time. Continuous, automated stock checks run without operational disruption, empowering site teams with the insights needed to make faster, more confident decisions.

The benefit

Over 80% reduction in manual effort
Wall-to-wall and cycle count inventory checks now require a fraction of the labour previously needed.

2-month payback period achieved
A rapid return on investment was realised within just two months of deployment.

Improved space utilisation and service levels
Real-time visibility into available space contributed to increased revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction.
