Meet the team: Erin Mitchell, Sales Development Representative (SDR)

June 2, 2026

Could you please tell us a bit about yourself, your background and your role at Dexory:

I'm Erin Mitchell, Sales Development Representative at Dexory. Before joining, I spent seven years in logistics sales at a third-party logistics provider, which gave me a strong foundation in the industry and a real appreciation for how technology is changing it.

How do you collaborate with your team and others in the company?

A mix of standing meetings, spontaneous huddles, and consistent chats that keep things moving. As a team we have a real divide and conquer mentality - everyone knows their lane, and we trust each other to deliver.

What’s the best team-building activity or event you’ve participated in?

Genuinely hard to pick just just one! It's a tie between three: a scavenger hunt in Nashville, building wheelchairs for disabled dogs, and a chocolate making session. All completely different, all equally memorable.

Can you share a hobby or passion outside of work that influences your professional life?

World travel. It's actually one of my biggest motivators at work - the harder I work, the more I earn, and the more of the world I get to see. It keeps me driven.

Which fictional character (book, movie, TV) would crush it in your job?

Buddy the Elf.  His credentials speak for themselves. He showed serious persistence tracking down his dad, and when he was met with rejection, he didn't quit until the job was done - very SDR.

His phone skills are also hard to argue with: "Hi, this is Buddy the Elf - what's your favourite colour?" is a solid qualifying question on the first call.

And his ability to convert those around him into believers? He got Josie to move to the North Pole, dress like an elf, and raise a child as a human-elf. If that's not pipeline conversion, I don't know what is.

What’s the proudest moment you’ve had while working here?

Hitting my Q1 2026 target with 31 days still left in the quarter.

What’s a small daily win at work that always makes you happy?

Booking an outbound meeting. Every time, without fail.

What do you think sets Dexory apart from other places you’ve worked?

The people. Working alongside people who are this passionate about what they do and genuinely believe in the solution makes all the difference.

What advice would you give to someone considering a job like yours?

Be patient and never stop learning. I'd also say to apply the 40/60 rule - 40% talking, 60% listening - not just on customer calls, but internally too. You'll be surprised how much you can pick up from the people around you.
