BevChain, the beverage division of Linfox, specialises in warehousing and transport services for beverage customers across New Zealand. The challenge

Like many large scale warehouse operations, BevChain's inventory management relied on traditional manual processes. Team members would walk warehouse aisles with printed data sheets to check and verify stock against their WMS. While functional, this approach had limitations:

  • Resource intensive processes that required significant team time on routine stock verification
  • Time delays when investigating discrepancies - requiring review of CCTV footage to locate specific pallets
  • Safety considerations with operators regularly walking through aisles without material handling equipment (MHE)

The solution

BevChain implemented Dexory's two part autonomous solution:

  1. Autonomous Mobile Robot: The Dexory robot autonomously scans the entire warehouse, capturing data on all stock locations and automatically reconciling this against the WMS in real-time - eliminating the need for manual stock checks.
  2. DexoryView Platform: The intuitive application enables teams to review insights generated by the robot, identify issues, and resolve discrepancies quickly through the system. The platform provides 24-hour location snapshots, allowing teams to verify stock positions with certainty rather than searching through hours of footage.
